Mr. Martin

Violin

Hi! My name is Martin Noh, and I’m a Korean-Canadian violinist and dedicated teacher with a deep love for both performing and helping others grow through music. I studied at the Eastman School of Music and later on obtained a Bachelor Degree at Montclair State University. I’ve been fortunate to perform across North America, Europe, and beyond as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. I made my solo debut with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in 2015 and have since performed with orchestras throughout Ontario. As a member of the award-winning Kodak Quartet, I’ve also been featured on NPR, CBC, and Radio-Canada.
As a teacher, I believe every student’s journey is unique. I tailor each lesson to match the
student’s learning style, goals, and personality. Whether you’re preparing for competitions,
auditions, or simply playing for joy, my goal is to build a strong technical foundation while
nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love for music. I’ve had the privilege of seeing
students I have worked closely with thrive, earning top prizes at competitions, gaining
acceptance into prestigious music schools, and performing with organizations like NYO-USA.
Most of all, I want my students to feel inspired and supported every step of the way.
